“Director Glenn Triggs couples his already high-concept plot with even higher emotional stakes. Sailing past the head-scratching ‘how?’ of his supernatural premise, Triggs’ instead barrels headfirst into the ‘why?’. This singular, emotional focus highlights the heart rendering complexities such a phenomenon would yield.
Depending on who you ask, it is either the journey itself or the final destination that is important. With its sweeping vistas, and emotionally resonate storytelling, Ancestry Road makes a compelling argument that there isn’t, or ever has been, a separation between the two."
