About the Film

When a debilitating sickness spreads across a long hotel hallway, a few scattered victims fight for survival, and try to escape from the dark narrow stretch of isolated carnage.

Hall tells the story of Naomi, a Japanese runaway wife, and Val, a helpless young mother, both struggling to escape an abusive relationship as well as a hotel hallway, which has been infected by a mysterious airborne virus killing everyone rapidly. In this isolated and despairing space, fear becomes viral as the women run for their lives. In the face of contamination, is there hope at the end of the hall?

About the Director

With his ability to turn projects with minimal resources into works lauded for their production value, Francesco Giannini’s talent and keen eye for visual composition, character development and storytelling have naturally transitioned him into a talented director.

Actor turned director, Francesco Giannini always had his heart set on storytelling, Whether is was creating short skits with his brother in their basement as kids, or spending his 20’s acting in films’ such as X-Men, Days of Future Past, Noël, and 300 to Pay for his degree, Gianni’s one and true love has always been ciema.

Moreover, spending majority of his younger years in front of the camera, Francesco would soon realise, behind the scenes was where he truly belonged. His debut short film, The Rae of Life, was chosen to play at the Cannes Short Corner in 2012. His follow up, The Prince, based on an Italian fable, was officially selected to play in the Milano International Film Festival. Finally, his dystopian short The Flare debuted to critical acclaim at the Fantasia International Film Festival. In between making short films, Gianni worked on a variety of commercial projects.

In 2015 he started his own production company, Franky FIlms, to help pursue his creative endeavours. Francesco would take on his first major film as Executive Producer with Horror/Thriller, Woodland Grey and would later make his feature film directorial debut with psychological horror film Hall.

Further more, his experiences as an Actor, Cinematographer and Editor have all helped in cementing Francesco as future Auteur. Combined with his ability to turn projects with minimal resources and money into films lauded for their high production value, Franky Films has become and early success story. Francesco currently as two other scripts in development, both finalises at the Academy Nicholl Fellowships Awards and official Black List entries in LA.
